Thoughts while hiking...

I recently hiked 25-30 miles on the Appalachian Trail over two days. While on the trail we crossed under a bridge that had "Christians are stupid!" spray-painted underneath it. It got me thinking about the person who didn't feel they could say that publicly. This was spray-painted near another message that read, "[name] has sex here."
The questions that surface for me are these: Where in Christianity do we show those who do not share our faith that it is not stupid? Are we content to allow people continue to think that we are stupid? Are we actually stupid? How many of us actually know what we believe and can articulate it?
How do you feel about this picture? What thoughts does it conjure up for you? Are you OK with being seen as stupid?
